**Reminder ~ any medication coming to the school must be brought in by an adult.

If the medication is to be used for less than 10 days (ie. an antibiotic) a labeled prescription bottle will serve as a doctors order.

If the medication will be given daily, a written doctors order is needed.  All attempts should be made to give daily medications at home.

If the medication is given "as needed" (ie. an epi pen or inhaler) a written doctors order is needed.

In all cases ~ communication about medication to be administered at school, must take place with the nurse before medication may be administered to a student.
