We are delighted to welcome back Letgo Your Mind to our SJS summer program for the summer of 2019!

Amusement Park Thrill Rides

Ages 4-5 $165/wk

9 a.m. to 12 noon

Only Weeks of June 24-28 and July 15-19

Chan­nel your inner Mas­ter Builder and cre­ate your very own Lego amuse­ment park thrill rides where every­thing is awe­some! Build some amaz­ing amuse­ment park thrill rides with motors and gears. Stu­dents will build: Merry Go Rounds, Taco Tuesday Spinners, Tilt A Whirl and many more.

Amuse­ment Park Thrill Rides & Stop Motion Ani­ma­tion 

Ages 6–9  $325/wk

June 24-28, July 8-12 and July 15-19

Chan­nel your inner Mas­ter Builder and cre­ate your very own Lego amuse­ment park thrill rides where “Every­thing is Awe­some!” Students will use motors, gears and axles to learn about mechanical devices such as levers, wheels and axles. Stu­dents will build: Merry Go Rounds, Taco Tuesday Spinners, Tilt A Whirl, motor­ized LEGO cars and many more Dur­ing the after­noon students will cre­ate LEGO Stop Motion Ani­ma­tion Videos, just like The Lego Movie! Dou­ble Decker couches welcome. Children will build their own mini movie set and create an animated movie using LEGO mini figures and LEGO elements. The students will also learn how to edit their movies and add titles/credits using Professional Stop Animation software.

EV3 Robotic Amusement Thrill Rides and Stop Animation/Minecraft

Ages 9-14  $325

June 24-28, July 8-12, July 15-19

Come and join us as we design, build, and program robots that interact with you, perform complex tasks,  respond to changes in the environment while using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 motors, sensors and gears.  Enhance your robotics skills by completing missions within an Amusement park that is built by the students. Dur­ing the after­noon students will cre­ate LEGO Stop Motion Ani­ma­tion Videos, just like The Lego Movie! Dou­ble Decker couches welcome. Children will build their own mini movie set and create an animated movie using LEGO mini figures and LEGO elements. The students will also learn how to edit their movies and add titles/credits using Professional Stop Animation software.

In addition students will use var­i­ous Minecraft skills to cus­tomize and cre­ate their own Amusement thrill rides! Stu­dents will learn about cre­at­ing elec­tri­cal cir­cuits using Red­stone. This will help stu­dents cre­ate fea­tures like func­tion­ing doors and traps doors that oper­ate at the push of a but­ton.

Early drop for all groups is 7:45 a.m. and late pick for the full day programs is 3 - 4:00 p.m.
