SJS Class In Software Engineering. Register by 4/16

St. Joseph School is proud to offer a class in software engineering to students currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade during the last quarter of the current school year. The class will introduce the fundamental concepts of computer architecture and will guide the students in the development of software programs using the Python programming language.

Python is a simple but powerful programming language, it combines exceptional functionalities with clear, user-friendly syntax. It can be learned and used by beginners in computer programming, and it is currently used by leading edge science and artificial intelligence projects.

The Computer Programming class will be held in the computer lab of St. Joseph School every Tuesday, beginning April 27, from 2:20 to 3:30 pm. The attendance is limited to 24 students.

The class will be taught by Dr. Virginio Chiodini. Dr. Chiodini earned his doctorate degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Milan, Italy and has 40 years’ experience in the architectural design of Database Management and Artificial Intelligence Systems. He is author of several papers in these domains.
