This Spring, as part of the new Christian Living class, students in 1st - 8th grade have been learning about all the Eucharistic miracles that have happened throughout years. As a resource, they have been using a viral website created by Carlo Acutis. Carlo was an English-born Italian Catholic amateur computer programmer suffering from leukemia. He became known for documenting Eucharistic miracles around the world and cataloging them onto a website which he created before his death (http://www.miracolieucaristici.org/en/Liste/list.html).
Our SJS students researched these miracles using Carlo's website and selected the one they found most interesting. Groups of students then prepared a poster presentation about their miracles. On Tuesday, May 31st all the classes came together in Fr. Gilllis Hall to walk through a gallery of posters documenting these miracles. Some students from each class presented their posters to the larger groups. Some groups even acted out their miracles in the form of plays.
We are blessed that our students had the opportunity to learn about these extraordinary miracles and the story of Carlo Acutis.
