    Dear Grade 3 Parents,

I hope that all of your families enjoyed a nice four day weekend, and that each of your third-grade children remembered to say some prayers for veterans who are all heroes. We wrote that in our assignment notebooks as our weekend homework.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ™

Please download my Academic Word Document for this week which will give you details about lessons in Religion; Reading; Spelling; Phonics; Grammar; and Mathematics.

Our "Calendar At A Glance" for this week went home on yellow paper with your child on Friday afternoon.  Please keep it in a convenient spot because even though it is only a four day week, we have many things happening in grade 3.๐Ÿ˜ We are expecting a visit from Chief Michael Sullivan of the Wakefield Fire Department๐Ÿค๐Ÿš’ on Wednesday afternoon to read part one of a story titled, "Fire At My Parents' House" which he reads to all third grade students in Wakefield.

We will also follow another four day week schedule so that we can complete our reading story and be tested on Friday. That means that the homework this week will be reading on Tuesday; math on Wednesday; and reading review on Thursday. The reading and spelling tests for this week's story will be on Friday.

Tuesday, November 12, 2019 is the beginning of the second term for this school year. Report cards for term one will be sent home with your child on Friday, November 15, 2019. As I explained to you in September, the children will receive a letter grade in reading comprehension; spelling; and mathematics. These are subjects that the children have been receiving marks in throughout the term. Any time that there has been a question about completion of work or a lower test score then anticipated, I have addressed it with you immediately and I want to thank all of you for how conscientious you have been making sure that your children are at school on time to begin the day, and that they have all of their necessary books and papers with them so that we can all go along at a great learning pace.

They are so blessed๐Ÿ™ to have you as such wonderful caring parents and it is demonstrated in their politeness and kindness which is a reflection of your parenting skills. Therefore, I give all of you an A+ in Parenting.๐Ÿ†

    Blessings,
    Mrs. Jane Ellis
