St Joseph School Wakefield is looking for enthusiastic professionals to join our team in the following positions:
A preschool teacher, this ideal dedicated candidate, will work cooperatively with other team members to creatively teach 3-4-year-old children basic skills. Responsibilities include lesson planning with imaginative play, music, arts & crafts, outdoor recreation time, and effective communication with parents and team members. Formative and summative assessments to ensure that children meet expectations for growth.
Preschool Paraprofessional. This enthusiastic preschool paraprofessional will join our Early Childhood Program Team! The ideal candidate will work cooperatively with other team members to creatively teach 3-4-year-old children basic skills. Responsibilities include partnering with the lead teacher in imaginative play, music, arts and crafts, outdoor recreation time as well as supervising snack/meal time and rest time and effective communication with team members and administration. Assisting the lead teacher in ensuring that the children meet expected growth goals.
4th & 5th Grade Math Teacher - Part Time
This dedicated math teacher for grades 4&5 will bring an enthusiastic approach to the foundations of mathematics so critical for students' future success. As a member of our STEM team, the ideal candidate will work cooperatively with our science program to promote critical thinking through cross-curricular activities. This individual will work cooperatively with the intermediate school team, administration and leadership team; prepare for rigorous instruction by planning both long-range goals and objectives and by preparing daily lesson plans and activities to meet those goals and objectives; Bachelor's degree required; Intermediate School Math experience preferred.

St, Joseph School, a one-track Pre-K-8th grade school located in Wakefield, MA is looking for a dedicated ELA Middle School Teacher with a concentration in Literature and Writing who will bring an enthusiastic approach to the writing process and the adventures of the literary genres. As a member of our Middle School Team, the ideal candidate will work cooperatively to promote critical thinking through cross-curricular activities. This is a part-time position.
Middle School ELA Part-Time Teacher
Essential Duties & Responsibilities-Work cooperatively with the Middle School team, administration and leadership team.
- Prepare for rigorous instruction by planning both long range goals and objectives and by preparing daily lesson plans and activities to meet those goals and objectives.
- Utilizing varied and interesting instructional strategies.
- Demonstrates the ability to use varied teaching methods to reach all students of varying abilities.
-: Demonstrates the use of both formative and summative assessments to evaluate student growth and understanding of materials taught.
- Fulfill contractual obligations and observe school and Archdiocesan policies and procedures.
- Willingness to work in partnership with parents for the benefit of the students.

Substitute teachers who can be available to cover classes when teachers are absent.
