    Dear Grade 3 Parents,

Please read my academic word document which will give you details about what I will be teaching this week in Religion, Reading comprehension, Spelling, Phonics, Grammar, and Mathematics. This week's reading story," Hottest, Coldest, Highest, Deepest.'' is an expository nonfiction that gives information about many extreme locations in our world.🌎

On Friday, I sent home a copy of this week's "calendar at a glance."  Please refer to this daily calendar for quick checks on what is happening. A few of our special activities this week include LADD on Wednesday afternoon. The children will learn about the respiratory system, and Mrs. DeSimone will teach about  various common breathing issues including asthma. We will also emphasize the harmful effects of smoking.

On Thursday, February 13, 2020 we will wish a Happy 9th Birthday to Giovanni VanoniπŸŽ‚πŸ°πŸ§πŸ¬πŸŽˆπŸŽ who will be our "teacher for the day", and I know that he will be a great one!πŸ˜‡

Friday, February 14, 2020, is Valentine's Day.😍It will be a "casual for a cause" day, with the color red for hearts.πŸ’˜.  We will exchange our classroom ValentinesπŸ’Œ and have our Valentine's Day party after lunch on Friday afternoon. We will also clean out and organize our desks to get ready for our February vacation. February 14, 2020 is also the due date for re-registrations for the school year of 2020- 2021.

Have a blessed, happy, healthy week and a wonderful February vacation.πŸ™πŸ˜ I think that our farthest student traveler for February vacation will be Mia Garcia who will be spending the week with her family and relatives in Brazil.πŸ›«

    Sincerely,

    Mrs.Jane Ellis
