    Dear Grade 3 Parents,

Please download my academic word document for this week which contains detailed information about what we will be learning in Religion; Reading comprehension; Spelling; Phonics; Grammar and Mathematics.

Last week, the children learned a myriad about diabetes from Mrs. DeSimone. They learned about both type I and type II diabetes; how diabetes happens; and how to take care of diabetes. Many children shared that they have relatives with diabetes. Diabetes is a condition in which the body is unable to use or store sugar properly. It is a "hidden condition" and there is no cure, but it can be controlled. Mrs. DeSimone showed various modern ways that people can get needed insulin. I will send you a class picture of both this week's lesson and last week's lesson about asthma and respiratory problems.

Tomorrow, each child will take home a pink "Calendar At A Glance"paper for this week.  A copy of the calendar is also posted below.

Each morning we offer a Memorare๐Ÿ™ for a special intention. Please feel free to let me know if there are any special intentions that you or your family would like us to pray for. We have continued to pray for Elijah Beaton's baby sister who will be two months old on March 11, 2020. Elijah's mother Sarah LeBlanc knows the power of prayer, especially prayer from children.๐Ÿ™ Sarah was a student of mine in third grade and is comforted by our prayers. Next Sunday, the 7:30 AM Mass at St. Joseph Church is a healing intention for baby Lily Ann.

We are so blessed to be in a school where we can pray to God as a family and ask for His divine help. Nothing that money can buy can beat the power of prayer.๐Ÿ™

Please enjoy a Happy, Healthy, Holy week, and please let me know if you have any questions regarding anything about your third-grade child.

P.S.  We are keeping our desks, chairs and classroom sparkling clean, and we have discussed the major importance of handwashing and good hygiene.๐Ÿ˜‡
