I have not felt this good since March 12, 2020.😀 I actually got to go to school today at 1:30 PM and I just got home at around 10:30 PM!
It was the most relaxing 9 hours that I have spent since I last saw your children.😇 My sign on my classroom door says, "This is my happy place", and that certainly has been and continues to be true.🙏
Today, I photocopied almost everything that your child will need even beyond the May 4th anticipation date.!!! One of my sayings is, I'd rather be safe than sorry." This is certainly true with all of the papers that I photocopied for all of the reading stories and the myriad of math activities that could probably take us through July!
I went through each desk, and removed everything else, including the social studies textbook; the megawords book and the dictionary. In one bag, I put your child's tote basket that has all of their tools. That bag also contains the rest of the contents from their desk.
After I finished photocopying everything, I put together a second bag with all of the necessary papers for reading, math, religion,(including their new daily Scriptures for Children book which takes them from April 1 through June 30,2020, and all of their Pfalum gospel weekly newsletters that go through the middle of May.
Since I did not finish packing everything up until it was totally dark outside, I was not able to take all of the bags (two for each child), clearly labeled, over to the convent porch. However, I am going to get up early in the morning, and get all of the bags over there before 7:30 AM. Unfortunately there is rain🌧🌧 in the forecast for tomorrow and the porch is not enclosed, but it does have a roof.
If at all possible, please pick your child's bags up tomorrow (Wednesday) in case it rains heavy at night. If you are not able to get over to school, perhaps you could ask another parent from the class if they could get your child's bags for you. The convent porch is right near the side door that goes into grade 3, in case you do not have a little one who has gone there to the early childhood program.
It was actually great today not to listen to any news. My daughter Megan is still waiting for her test results from the Covid19 test. Mrs.Garcia😇 was kind enough to send Megan some masks and head caps, so when she does go back to work she will at least have the right equipment.
At 3:00 PM Mrs. Condon was with me putting something for her gym class into my student bags for children who do not have siblings in the ECP or kindergarten. We both heard a siren and thought that it was an ambulance🚑 passing by the school. However, it kept blaring, so I ran to the front door to see what was happening.I had already prayed a few times what I taught the children to do whenever they hear an ambulance, fire engine, or police cruiser with its siren going. So I kept thinking, "Please God help whoever needs your help." It was an incredible parade led by the Ponzo family, and seemed to have at least 20 cars with lots of kids smiling and waving and beeping the horns! It was so great to see all of them and get to throw them kisses!!! 😘It definitely made my day!😍
Please let me know when you have picked up your child's two bags so that I will know your child has everything they need (and then some!), and it will be a lot less photocopying for you at home.😊
I will make sure to set my alarm🕰 early in the morning so that I will definitely have all of the bags on the convent porch for you to pick up.
May God continue to bless you and your families with the peace that can only come from Him.🙏🙏🙏
