(Written by a previous student entering Grade 3)

I read a story called Peter Rabbit.  The author is Beatrix Potter and the book was first published by Scholastic Book Services in 1903, and has had several revisions. The version I read was copyrighted in 2001.

The story of Peter Rabbit takes place in Mr. McGregor's garden.  Peter did not follow his Mom's directions to stay out of Mr. McGregor's garden. He went anyways because he felt like it.  While Peter was eating vegetables from the garden, Mr. McGregor saw him and tried to catch him.  Peter ran away but lost his shoes and coat.  Finally, with the help of some animals he found his way home.  When Peter got home, he was feeling ill and he had to go to bed while his sisters enjoyed blueberries.  Mr. McGregor used Peter's coat and shoes for a scarecrow.

I would like some of my friends to read this book because the story shows that you should listen to what your parents tell you.  If you don't, you might get into trouble.  The illustrations were very cute and the story was full of adventures.
